CyberPatrol Upgrade

FREE Upgrade

Upgrade to the latest version of CyberPatrol now. All upgrades are FREE when you have a valid CyberPatrol license. It's important to upgrade as quickly as possible so you're protected by CyberPatrol's latest safety and security features.

 

How to upgrade to 7.7

If you currently have CyberPatrol installed, you will need to remove it, before installing version 7.7.
NOTE: Your previous 7.6 license information will not work with 7.7.

To uninstall CyberPatrol version 6.x and 7.x follow the directions below. If you need instructions for removing version 4 click here or version 5 click here.

  1. Open the Control Panel to Add\Remove Program (If you are using Windows Vista choose Programs from the Control Panel and then click on the link “Uninstall a Program”).
  2. Highlight CyberPatrol in the list that appears
  3. Click on the Remove button on the right hand side of the page (in Windows Vista click on Uninstall at the top of the program list).
  4. You will be prompted for your HQ password to complete the removal process.
  5. Once the un-installation has completed, Reboot

How to install 7.7

  1. Download the 7.7 installer
  2. Double click on the installer to start the installation process.
  3. Click Next
  4. Read and Accept the license agreement
  5. Choose which type of install you would like to do. Most users will want to choose the Typical option.
  6. Click the Install button
  7. You will be prompted to create an HQ password. Create a password that will be easy for you to remember, but hard for other people to guess. Click Next when finished Note: If the password and confirm password boxes do not match; the Next button will not be clickable.
  8. You will be prompted to enter a password hint. Make sure the hint you input does not make it easy for others to guess your password.
  9. Choose the Environment you are installing CyberPatrol into.
  10. Choose the User Type you would like. The user type is what determines the level of filtering applied.
  11. Click OK on the box that appears that states: “You MUST restart all open Internet Browsers for CyberPatrol to take affect.
  12. If you would like to view the ReadMe file place a check in the box and click on the Finish button.
  13. You will be prompted for your License ID and Activation code. Input them and click the Activate button.
  14. Click OK on the box that appears, letting you know that CyberPatrol was successfully activated.
