SiteSURVplus is server-based filtering software that includes a copy of CyberPatrol’s SiteCAT categorized web site data files. SiteSURVplus software is installed on a PC on the local area network. Once installed, all web site requests are passed through SiteSURVplus. Based on parameters you select, access to requested web sites is either blocked or allowed.

SiteCAT constantly crawls the Internet, looking at web sites, and categorizes the results into allowable and blocked lists. Each day we process over a million sites. Requires NO Client Software

Because SiteSURVplus uses DNS web filtering, there is no software required to run on individual PCs. SiteSURVplus is operating system independent at the client level, so it works with PC and MAC systems. Deployment is immediate and no action is required when new users are added to the network.

Easy to Use Administrative Console

SiteSURVplus’ easy to use administrative console gives you complete control of Internet access on your network. There are 9 normally blocked categories and an additional 36 categories of allowed web sites. If you want to block or allow specific web sites, SiteSURVplus gives you the flexibility to create your own list.

Custom Allowed and Blocked Lists

Create your own list of web sites that are always allowed or always blocked. These lists override blocked or selectable categories listings, giving you complete control of sites that can be viewed by network users.

Local Filtering Decreases Bandwidth Requirements

CyberPatrol’s entire filtering database is stored on a server that resides on your network. All web requests are filtered locally and proactively block objectionable content and sites that contain malware. There is no need to verify a web site using Internet access. Any requests to access unauthorized sites are immediately blocked without leaving the local network. As a result, requests are processed quickly and bandwidth requirements are actually reduced.

How it Works

SiteSURVplus software can be installed on any dedicated, Windows-based computer on your network. Hardware and software requirements are minimal, so just about any PC will do. Once the software is installed, change the IP settings on your DCHP server to point to the SiteSURVplus PC instead of your DNS server. Moving forward, all web site requests from any computer on your network are redirected internally to the PC with SiteSURVplus installed. Only web site requests that meet criteria set by the system administrator are allowed. All others are blocked and the user receives a blocked message from the administrator.

SiteSURV plus can run on almost any Windows PC (does not have to be a server).
